Well there is some signs i dont like, rivets are not typical OM, the catch have a different shape, hinge look a little bit different as well, the swas should be bent and OM are marked. Some details on the observe are not quite right either.

                    That's a first for me!

Is it cased? The condition would suggest that it has been stored very carefully.

Mine is mint and cased but even so it has tarnished.

Rivets not clear but look odd. Unmarked, first for me. Have to hear from Timmee says, think he's handled more OM's than anyone I can think of.

Too many differences from textbook OM badge. Wreath, eagle - they look similar but not the same.

Agree w points guys mentioned......weird......also wingtip cutouts not typical.
Would want to check it in hand....but could be okay.

Rich....I have one that is untarnished....cant post photos as I'm on the road.

                            Hi guys,

thanks for your opinions so far, much appreciated!!!
At the moment I'm really speechless, because I never had any doubts about the originality of this pilot badge and to be honest I'm still 100% convinced that this badge is original.
You are right, that the shape of the catch is not the way we know it, but it's still the same type of catch we know on this type of pilot badge and we all know that the bend of a catch was handwork.
Concerned the hinge, I can't see any differences to other examples shown in the forums - in my opinion it's exactly the same.
Furthermore I can't see any differences in the details. I've compared it with the one shown in Previteras book and the details are the same. Every vein on the eagle or on the wreath is identical. Also the rivets are the same compared to the example in Previteras book.
Furthermore as far as I know there are unmarked examples of the OM pilot badge known, but they are much more rare than the marked ones. I'll try to get some pictures of some collecting-friends.
The only thing I see, is that the swatsikas isn't bend that much like on other examples, but that's also something which was handwork in my opinion and I think that the OM pilot badges are not 100% identical on this.

Please find attached some new close-ups of the badge and please show me where you can see differences.
                            Thanks!!!

                            Best regards
                            Sven
