    writing on Luftwaffe cases

    Hi all

I am now going to post a few pics of writing on two cases.

    A) Cased silver bomber clasp
    B) Cased Bronze bomber clasp

What I would like to point out, is the difference in writing on both cases. I have noticed changes in the two (ff) in the word (Kampfflieger) and also (g) in (Kampfflieger).

Actually most of the script on both cases are very different, so I have found this rather interesting, and would like to know what you all think.

    Especially you Frank .

If you would like me to post more pics of the cases please let me know and I will do so.

Another point that I have noticed is that one case has seven brackets to the hinge on the back of the case and the other has eight, again if pics are required please let me know.

All comments will be respected and much appreciated.

    Regards.

    Trent

I do not collect cases so my knowledge is limited. You better post pics of the whole case, at least that is better for me. I find it very strange that two fonts within one word were used. Also look at the two different kinds of "g" in the second example!
      Cheers, Frank

                Frank

This bronze case with the with the (g) the way that it is, it is not the first of its type that I have come across. Helmut and Detlev have both had them for sale before and I see that Clauss Philipp has one the same for sale on his site.

Are they attributed to a known maker?.

As far as the case itself, it looks fine to me, all the aspects of a good war time Luftwaffe case.

The insert does not come out and I am not going to try for obvious reasons, and the case is fine under black light.

                What are your thoughts.

                Regards.

I agree that the cases look good, but there are people here much more knowledgeable about cases.
                  Cheers, Frank
