Assman Pilots Badge

Hi all

I am looking at upgrading my current cased pilots badge, and have found this Assman.

I would like to know what you all think about the award and also what you all think about the case.

This case is very different to the one I currently have in alot of ways, as I am not an expert at all on cases I thought it best to ask the experts on ehat there opinion is toward both the award and the case.

Currently I have a nice pilots badge (no maker mark) example, with lots of nice finish (frosting) and have decided to find another to be able to do a little compraision with.

All comments and opinions are welcome and much appreciated.

both look like good, late war examples to me. They also fit togeather. Is the eagle really "rainbow" colour or is it just the scan?

Thank you for your opinions, Just the scans mate, maybe Assman did make a few rainbow examples to add a little colour to the world at the time.

I can now go ahead a buy this little beauty to add to my collection.

Hi Nelly

Very nice Assmann pilot and case.

However, I suspect the hindge and pin assemble are a replacement.
I've never seen that type of hindge and over the top pin on any late war
Assmann flight badge. Also there appears to be a partial outline where
the original hindge was once located. And also some disturbance to the
area of the wreath where the hindge is. If it is a replacement, it was
nicely done, IMO.

Hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
