AGREED, a fine original Juncker. Pretty uncommon variant with brass eagle and zinc wreath, a keeper for sure.

in post #3, what is with the difference from the eagle to the swastika? seems a totally different color and with a hard line marking the change. almost as if it had been masked off and painted???

Sal, the swastika is bent back a little to fit inside the wreath (common on Juncker badges), and the different angles of the eagle surfaces make the finish look different on the reverse, but I am confident that both are just fine and have the same exact finish.

On the obverse, the swastika was burnished to remove the frosting and giving it a shiny appearance...again typical of Juncker badges.

                              Hi Jurgen,

My eyes aren't as good as they used to be. Can you provide a straight on pix of the left rivet? I think I am just seeing the dark countersink area around the rivet.

                              Thanks.
