According to the L.V.Bl., Ziff 1744, dated June 26, 1942, By the Reichsmarchal Göring, pendants (again not numered but with the flower) are added for
- 500 flights for the day fighters
- 400 flights for Stukas, heavy fighters (ZG)
- 300 for bombers and air/see units + meteo (weather broadcast)
- 250 for reco. and night fighters
New addition is made of Golden tombac
It also seems logic according to the date of institution

Just a few questions Frank, with all respect ofcourse..
We're discussing...
Do you know this clasp as a fake ?
Is it you just don't believe in tombak pendants ?
Is it because the design isn't like the ones you've seen ?
Is it because you don't like the fighter ,so ,not mine either ?
Is it because these clasp are flooding the market ?
Is it a old fake ?
etc.
I'm very careful with badges ,but when I see mine scale 1:1 it's one of the finest clasps.
Magnification blows up the rims around the leafs ,in reality they look quite normal.
If you've evidence about these clasps being fake ,I'll take it right away.
But if it is because you don't like it 'cause it differs from others ,we've a point.
I'm open for discusion concerning this badge ,only the badge ,no sellers and story stuff..
As you say : show me some more..( if fake ,there will be much more IMO )
I say : you've only seen 2 ,tell me what's wrong without comparing to the rest of the clasps you know.
Maybe fake ,but any proof yet ,except the thicker rims and makermark on one.
I always kept this badge 'cause in reality it's quite delicate.
I always kept this badge 'cause I didn't see any others.
I always kept this badge 'cause I couldn't find anything strange except the design.
But..,I'm not the allknown and can be wrong without knowing ofcourse.
I haven't found the convincing answer in this thread yet.
too less to compare with and only feelings and comparisons made to other clasps.
Not enough for me yet.
As I said ,this clasp is totally die forged ,no doubt..
Making a fighter and a bomber only with machines needed for that doesn't make sense to me..
The benefit would be several more badges like this ,where were they hidding all those years...or I missed something ?
So ' I expect much more to come ,and if and they're bogus ,I was wrong on this one..

Dear Jos,
No offense meant and none taken. Regardings your questions:

Ok, now for the proof. I will show you one more clasp of this series, serving as a logic chainlink between the fighter clasp in question and your bomber clasp. First we have to make sure we are on the same wavelength with some things, otherwise you might not come to the same conclusion.
I assume you accept and see that the general design of the fighter clasp in question and your bomber clasp is the same. Not only the unusual, peculiar form of the fat rimmed leaves and fat arrow (and fat bomb in your case) applications, but also hinge, pin and catch. Ok?
Now here is an recon clasp of that very same series of fakes. Amazingly, it also bears the same fake Juncker mark as the fighter clasp in question. I think this renders the assumption that a bogus mark could have been added on a good, but strange spange afterwards useless. It can clearly not be the case, since more of these bear the same fake Juncker mark, not as a faint later addeed stamp but as a feature of the fake.
You will find all the same weird characteristics on that recon clasp as on the fighter and as on your bomber.
You may see it in a different way but for me the fate of these three spanges is closely connected and is sealed with the evidence and logic chain of thought apparent in this thread alone.
I have no more pictures of this fake but have handled these clasps several times at shows. The picture I found today on another forum by chance.
Cheers,
FrankCheers, Frank

"I will believe in them if anybody can show me a believable Tombak pendant."
Frank, what do you do of L.V.Bl., Ziff 1744, dated June 26, 1942?
