    Cloth Clasp...

    Hey Guys,

    I was checking trought ebay and find this picture of a bomber clasp in cloth. I never saw this before and wondering if they actually existed.

    Yes, they existed in Bomber, Aufklärer and Jagdflieger. My example:

            I have never seen one 'in the flesh' but I have seen examples like Gene's referenced. It makes total sense that they were produced for air crew. In my opinion they are beautiful things and Gene's example is absolutely lovely. One day I would love to find some myself but I fear they are very rare.

              Do these cloth version exist for all grades or only the gold grade?

                I have only seen three examples and they have all been Gold grade

                  Great picture--the Kc looks strange has it been "photoshopped" in whatever way it was done then?
                  The cloth clasps are as you say pretty rare -- not seen one for ages

                        The photo has just been 'de-nazified' - all the swastikas are erased.

                          Great photo Tim. I can only agree that it makes logical sense to have worn cloth badges, especially in the tight confines of an airplane.
