Here's one I came across that has Assman style rivets and hinge but marked "S" on the reverse!

That would be 'S' for Scrap I am guessing? Perhaps the 'S' is silent.

Hi William,

Very interesting, looks more like a B&NL badge rather than Assmann. Nicely aged, but the soft edges reveal it is probably a casting.

This is an older sand cast B&NL. The fantasy marking on this looks like a "3". I have/had an example stamped CEJ.
