Pilot Observer Badge - Opinions

Hi Collectors,

I was offered a group of badges, medals and various other items by a collector. I think the vast majority are bad news in the group but I wonted to get some proper opinions just to be sure.

Hi Tom,

The spurious maker mark made me laugh too. I have seen many of the maker marked pilot badge with these numbers at shows here in Ireland. Last show I was at I brought some books with me by Durante, Maerz, Garlasco and Weber to name but a few and showed them around. I thought that this would be a good idea so that collectors and dealers alike could learn from them. The dealers only mocked me.

This Guy is called fuggly with a wedgie and for good reason.
A few months ago a dealer tried selling me one for a $1000. After i told him it was a fake he tried mocking me by telling me "that's just your opinion".
I took it off his hands and bent it in half 45 degrees with little effort.
I asked him "what do say to that?" He told me to f-off from his table and never come back.

Hi guys,

I can only agree, a poor fake here.

I too have been laughed at by many dealers, when I tell them what they are selling are fakes. So much so that I now keep my mouth shut and only offer my opinion to them if they specifically ask me for it. But ofcourse us collectors will have the last laugh, those silly dealers will be sitting on these fakes for the rest of their lives and hand down a pile of worthless crap to their heirs when they die. Clueless!
