    FLL Pilot Observer Badge Arrived

It is a nice match for my probable FLL Pilots Badge, and a great contrast with the late war zinc FLL badges.

In terms of quality, this badge is not even in the same league as the late war types. Would this new buntmetal P/O badge be considered the first type that FLL made? If so, what timeframe would it have been produced?

    regards,

    Robert

The P/O badge has polished highlights to the wing edges and swastika. It's a very nice effect.

Very nice FLL P/O. I believe this is one of the earlier types with the rarer barrel hinge. Nice catch. I'm still looking for a P/O myself.

            Hi Robert

I think this is the earlier version of the Buntmetall FLL PO badges. Have a look here for a thread I started on these badges.

                      Hi Robert,

                      Excellent example, I love it!

I think you are right, these are quite high quality and leave many of their counterparts behind in terms of detail and quality. Nice addition my friend.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Just a question ,are regular rivets or are repunched?

                              Hi Carlo,

They look originally set to me. We did our taxes last night, and it looks like this P/O badge is going to have to leave my collection - I hate to get rid of it though!

                              s/f Robert
