        Hi Don,

I agree with Seb, a fine original Assmann Airgunner. Not much finish remaining on the wreath, but no doubts about originality IMO.

I would venture to guess that it has an "A" on the back of the eagle. Hard to be sure with the pin in the way, but Assmann typically marked their Airgunner eagles with a raised, flat-footed "A" mark on the reverse.

          Hi Don,

An original wartime Airgunner, and as often seen, the finish on the wreath looses it´s finish on the Assmann AG and ROAG´s as well.

I don´t recall having seen an Assmann Airgunner without maker mark, only ROAG´s, so I will take the chance that it is there

If you look closely, you can actually see the right leg and some of the horizontal bar of the A

If you can get it for a fair price it would be okay, but they are not impossible to find with more finish.

Thanks, everyone, for your advice. I don't recall it having any markings, but will ask to take a closer look before making an offer on it.

                Hi Don,

If you look closely, you can see a little bit of the "A" behind the pin.
