    Retired Pilot's Badge

I would assume these badges are exceedingly rare and probably highly faked so I wanted to check if this one was good or not. I don't think it is but want to be sure before I pass it by.

    Many thanks

Good luck Pierce...I find these to be one of the tougher badges to find that is authentic. I could see how this one could fool many.

        Keep up the search !

        Cheers,

        Glen

          Hi Pierce,

The only Tombak versions (There are two Juncker styles.) I have seen, that I would want to own, are C.E.Junckers. Juncker also made an Aluminum variation. Talk about the rarest of the rare! All the Junckers are makermarked. And by the way, just because the badge is makermarked Juncker, doesn't make it necessarily authentic. They are faked too. I know. I got burned to the tune of $bigbucks$.

Zink versions of the Retired Pilot (that some collectors accept as original) are out there, but I'll stick with the Junckers.

          Regards,
          Mark

Thank you all for taking the time to view this item. At least my gut feeling was correct on this one.

I am not specifically looking for one of these but this one caught my eye on a dealer site.

If anyone does have a nice original they can show for comparision that'd be great.

              Kind regards
              Pierce
