    Assmann Alu P/O

Well worth the long wait was this badge that finally came in yesterday. Notice the A just hiding under the left hand rivet, looks like the guy who made this was´nt satisfied with that and stamped the other A in next to it.

      Morning Skipy,

Just beautifull and certainly worth waiting for that long. Incredible how obsessed Assmann was with his maker mark isn't it. I don't know of any other producer that so meticoulos marked their complete production, if possible with a couple of marks at the same time

Skip is that a mark on the back of the eagle too or just a scratch, looks like a 2 from where I'm sitting?

        Morning Phil,

Indeed it does look like a 2 on the pic. It is mearly a scratch though and only looks like that on the photo. Suprising how misleading a photo can be huh?

Was this the one off the recent 'Zeige' auction?

John, I think I will just call you "old eagle eye". You are right of course and a pretty penny it cost me as well.

Neil, no secret, just Zeige needs so long to get his things out that I was wondering if it would ever arrive.

John, the wonders of modern telephone bidding!!

                            Skip and John,

Both are beautiful badges. I hope I can get a P/O which like both beautiful examples.

                            Cheers
