That is what it looks like to me as well, a hybrid transition piece. Kind of rare for a Meybauer. It looks good from these pics.

Hi John,

Nice original Meybauer, and a first for me to see a zinc eagle combined with a Nickel Silver wreath. I agree that this is a transitional piece, very cool to see. I would definately hold onto this one, can't be too many of these transitional Meybauers around....

Observer Badge

Thanks for all the looks and comments. I have been looking for an Observer badge for a while and the prices just seem to go up every day. So I am relieved to have finally gotten one that is good.
