Statue - Bust of Pilot?

Hello Folks -

Has anyone ever seen anything like this. The size is just about the size of the image and it weighs about 2lbs. with marble base. Was supposedly for a WW1 German Pilot, but I really have no idea.

It appears there was something on the aircraft, note the hole in the middle. Swastika, Iron Cross, or perhaps not even German? It wasn't very pricey and I thought it was neat.

Any thoughts appreciated!

I have one exactly the same, I always thought it was probably German and pre WWII.
Note that the plane seems to be upside down. For aerobatics?
