Original badge but the rivets are buggered up and the same finish as the badge's reverse. I suspect a refinish. I am always very suspicious of really nice PO badges. I would like to hear some other opinions.
            Awesome case though

            Regards,

              Hi Carsten,

As I mentioned in my email, a nice original FLL badge, but likely messed with rivets and therefore questions will arise about the finish and if this is a true PO or not. Finish doesn't look too bad and it might be OK, but personally I would pass due to the rivets.

Case is a nice original, but typically associated with GWL badges IMO so these may have been mated sometime after being awarded.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Imo a nice, original unmessed with PO by the "Unknown Maker" in a case that is 100% correct and original to it.

Rivets on these these examples commonly look banged up - imo that's the way they were commonly made. Hammered on, rather than preened as per other makers.

I have a cased twin (EXACT same case) to this one (OK, slightly better finish on my example) straight from the KG40 Fw200 Co-Pilot's estate so personally I believe this example is 100% legit and unmessed with.

                Regards
                Mike

I agree with Mike, the finish and the rivets are absolutely match what I expect from this makers PO's.

                    Hi guys,

Sorry to disagree, but the right rivet is far from "textbook" for an FLL badge.

                      Carsten,

case and badge good one .

but only by this pics is it difficult to say for me it is a PO

the restorer make good gold finish these days

i would not like one in my collect where the rivets, and eagle finish not 100% textbook.
