                        I've had an authentic case with a similar squiggly line pattern, but I think it was a little different. No longer have it for comparison.
                        Anyway the case, even if it was OK, is not for a P/O. But I guess that is obvious.

                          I agree with Giel. I'm a little confused by Tim's comment as the case says Pilot / Observer on the lid, but that doesn't make it real.

                            Hi guys,

                            I too have seen a few of these squiggly line cases, I call them the "fingerprint" pattern. They are pretty rare, I only know a handful of them, here is one for the Para badge from Allan Pilch's excellent collection. The lettering font is different from the one that started this thread, and the leatherette also seems thicker than on the one that started this thread.

                            The fact that we don't have many to compare these too probably casts a negative shadow on these, but I have to say that the look of the glue, hardware, materials and color all look OK in my opinion. Maybe Marcus will give his opinion as well.
