Hi All, I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out the different variations in maker marks of a given manufacturer. Also at what year or point they changed their mark. Would love to find a list of each manufacturer's maker marks on a time line. Also a time line of the different versions of a given badge and maker. Any help would be appreciated! Best to all! Tom

Hi Tom,
Welcome to the forum. I agree with the others, Privetera's book is a good start but doing a search on the forum (top right of your screen) would give you a good idea of the different type of maker marks that will be seen.
Actually, these would make some really good threads if we could do them for each maker. I just finished a book on the Paratrooper badges, and there is actually 6 distinct type of maker marks used just by Assmann! And that is ONLY on the Para badges, does not include their Pilot, POs and ROAGs!
TomIf it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a littleNew Book - The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II
