      Hi dyzner,

Must have missed your first post back on the 9th, sorry.

The para badge is definately a reproduction, has a common copy of an S&L eagle and fantasy wreath, but marked for brehmer

The flight clasp is a good one, likely made by Friedrich Linden of Ludenscheid.

Not sure about the LGAB, I don't have my references in front of me, but as far as I can remembr Brehmer's don't have this type of eagle. I will check a little later to be sure, but I think others will chime in too.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

One other thing, the FLL flight clasp may have a repaired hinge and catch. The weird marks around both of them point to a possible repair or replacement. These typically have different hardware than this, so my thought is that they are repaired. Can you do some additional shots of the hinge and pin open from different angles so we can see them more clearly?

Brehmer LGAB looks OK to me, the catch may be repaired.

            Thomas,

Thanks for all the feedback. Since I don't yet own these (looking to purchase) I can't get additional photos unfortunately.

Regarding the Transport Clasp, I was looking at some examples online and none of them show the Swastika attached to the wreathe on the reverse view. Yet this one is attached. Is that normal?

              Hi guys,

Now that I am home, I agree that the Brehmer LGAB does look good. Sorry about the confusion, I am not up on these as much as other badges. I also agree that the sloppy look of the catch might suggest its been repaired. I see the typical big circular plate under the catch, so it could very well be the original catch that has just been resoldered.

As far as the Transport clasp goes, I see what you are saying with the connection to the swastika, but I am not overly concerned with that as I have seen others with similar connections. I suspect this area of the clasp may have been trimmed out by hand due to the swastika being so close to the wreath. That seems a bit too tight for a die trimmer, and I think most of the opening was die-trimmed, but then a worker had to come back and file out that little bit, a step that was missed on your example.

Here is one of my FLL Transport clasps. You can see on the reverse there is a tiny connection to the wreath and the swastika, so even mine wasn't 100% filed away. This tiny connection is pretty common with zinc badges by FLL, and other makers of zinc-badges and I would suspect that on the later-war examples it was more likely that this additional step was just dispensed with.

Here is another later war "FLL" example, judging by the fluted pin. You can see on this one that the bridge between the swastika and wreath was left intact and not trimmed out either.

Thanks so much Thomas! So what would you say is a fair price to pay for this clasp in this condition?

Sorry, but I don't give out price recommendations. I would suggest that you just look around at some dealers websites and you will get a feel for what these go for.

Because the reverse is a possible repair, the seller should either verify that or give you a big discount in my opinion.

I can add another positive for the LGAB. I've looked at Brehmers quite intensively...

Quite nice front, too bad for the repaired catch though.
