    Assmann Pilot

    Hello Collectors,

I´d like to share this beatiful Assmann Pilot badge.

The only issue with it is that you can move the eagle very slightly....

only a bit, but it is a little loose. Why does this happen to some badges...as this one does not show any signs of "heavy wear" there must be another reason.

Thanks for your opinions in advance

    Regards

    Martin

      Hallo Martin, very nice.

Loose eagle is pretty common on Assmann badges, several of my Paras are pretty loose

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          Beautiful badge Aurora!

Apropos loose rivets - I have an Assmann with a very crude repair. The owner was a Ju52 pilot and probably a person of pracical solutions...

              hello Jack,

yes, a crude way to tighten rivets......

but I guess that the eagle fits very tight now!! :-)

              Kindest regards

Martin, this a beautiful example of an Assmann!

Jack, if your eagle ever became loose I would be very surprised!

                    Cheers,
                    David

I own 2 Assman pilot badges. Both have the same amount of light wear and one is slightly loose, one is not. I have encountered many more Assmans with loose birds than all other makers combined. I'm surprised due to the look of the rivet design.
