Hi Martin,
Looks perfect so far. Left rivet might have been tightened up at one point, but other than that, perfectly textbook IMO.

I just love the GWL Paratrooper badge, a true dichotomy of base metals. On the one hand, you have a beautifully detailed eagle made of high quality brass with burnished highlights, yet its sitting on a low quality zinc wreath! The low quality of zinc often results in the bubbling of the brennlack finish, very typical of GWL zinc-based badges.
Some makers used both metals on the same badge in short transition periods, but GWL used it consistently on all their Paras. I do not know of 1 example of an all buntmetal GWL badge, nor any examples with an all-zinc construction. The eagles are ALWAYS made of brass and the wreaths are ALWAYS made of zinc.
