yes, please show your LW Ring of this Style.
Aff96 in this thread said he had the same style ring bought from Niemann as Para..so this style or type of ring exsited

To the 925 silver rings being a NO NO in german wartime..I have to say this not true at all.
I buy regualry old silver rings when I see some on Fleamarkets etc. and I also bought lots of normal women or mens rings from pre-45 with a 925 silver grade...and of course also 800 or 835 silver ones.
But a 925 Ring is no proof of being post-45 thats for sure!

I think that 925 is an English silver grading, or so I've been told. It also looks poorly cast to me

If you look at the other items this seller is flogging most of it is crap.

So if he has the identical ring then you can make book on the fact that yours is a copy also.

            Hi Thälmannpionier.......

            ......or whatever.

If you look at the other items this seller is flogging most of it is crap.
This is a pretty good indicator of just what the ring you are interested just may be....a FAKE. You have solicited opinions, and gotten some pretty honest, open ones. The crap on the above seller's sales listings also shows a ring almost identical to the one you picture.. Definitely a cousin. or brother.

How you choose to spend your money, and what you wish to believe....is up to you. But me, If I were considering the ring that you show......I would be very careful of just what it is I were buying.

Or have you already bought the ring and are now faced with the very good possibility that it is FAKE?

If that is the case, and it is a FAKE after all, chalk the experience up to hasty purchasing, and toss it in your FAKES bin.

            Hope this helps some.

              Bruce,

I paid very little for this ring as it was in a batch of old jewelry at this house clearing..actually I got it for free if you like when I sell the other rings and earrings so it doesnt hurt at all... and I have no Problem to hear it is fake...its just not very much proof yet..just because some Dealer is selling lotsof crap rings..and this style is amongst it..

as I havent handled a WWII Military Ring before, I liked this ring and still like it pretty much and as posted on the 1st page of this Thread, this style of ring seems to have existed..at least Niemann had a Para Ring in this Style for Sale..

btw..youll find my Name in the first post of this Thread
              Regards
              ANDREAS

@ all..Would like to see some "declared as" real Rings of this Style when they really have existed..so please post

P.S. just to make clear... 925 means 92,5% real silver
has nothing to do with pre or post 1945!!
those numbered silver marks exist since 1888!!
Of Course, 925 was the best silver and probably much more expensive in those days than 800..but again.. 925 Silver Rings CAN BE from pre45!!

There is a flyers badge pattern ring,,and its very similar... The silver example rings were expensive and high quality. Even a very worn example would still display that the ring had at one time great detail.. The inner band was highly polished and overall finish was excellent.

The ring on this topic is the common reproduction that is on most auction sites.. It is a poorly made lost wax type ring. The details aren't worn off,,they were never there. The eagle hasn't a face nor claws. There is no detail to the feathers. Inner band rough. The oak and laurel leafs also mushy, waxy, you can't even tell which is which. The swastika has problems too. If you paid little for it and can't get a refund no big deal then. you've learned and it wouldn't look bad displayed with a dagger or insignia,,or if hardcore a good wearer.

If you'd like to view some very nice authentic private purchase rings please see links:

                    Dear Gaspare,

do you have a photo of the flyers' badge ring?
I try looking around but i cant find a photo of it.
it seems it is an uncommon or scarce ring.

                    thanks,
                    Mil

I own a few 100 rings,,and do not own that pattern! How about very rare!
It is a good known pattern though.. I have handled a couple and have photos but only permission to use in my project. Also have period advertisements for the ring..
When buying remember, flyers were elite,,they wouldn't buy or get as a present a piece of junk. So even a worn example should display that it had good details , quality etc..
