silver Pilot Ring!!

Hello,

Found this Ring at a House Clearing today...
The Son in Law who did the house clearing couldnt tell me anything about the History,except that it is a 925 silver Ring..

Obviously it has the Pilot Badge Design and a 925 silver mark...and is in worn condition..
On the outside of the Ring is slightly visible a 8 and maybe a 2 behind it but the last Number is so worn that I only guess it could be a 2

any Info and Opinions are very welcome..as I wanna sell this Ring

I am no expert, IMO it looks very good. Very similiar to my Heer Fallschirmjager ring in construction & design.

- this ring is a very bad fake.. Mushy details, malformed, waxy looking.. Sell is for silver weight if you have too but it is not authentic..........

Little confused now..
The ring is quite worn and of course,therefore lots its detail that it probably had when made..
however..I showed it another collector today and he liked it.. He said the fake ones are much bigger..one have to keep in mind that those rings where private purchase and probably made by lots of different jewelers.. And not each ring looks like another... But without any history or "great" story to tell about it, it will be hard to proof!!
I just could toss the ring in a nice LW Pilots Group and say:" look at this nice ring from my granddad" ..and most people would say..cool!nice ring!

Sorry to say, but this ring is a known fake. Often on ebay and other fake sites. Just look around on the internet and search for lw ring. 925 silver content is a big no no for german wartime rings. Sorry.
