The GWL has got a strange reverse I admit, excessive filing, not good rivets - point taken (checked the book - the fakers are getting better and better); The unmarked one - the eagle doesn't match any known example - close but not a match, therefore I wouldn't put much hope on it

Thank you for your replies to this thread.
IMO, the GWL is bad and the unmarked one can be OK.
As Steve guessed, the GWL was from the supplier who sold me the fake KM badges, the reverse of this one looks so contrived that I'd rather believe that it's a fake.
But the unmarked one was from an elderly collector who purchased this one from Germany 20 years ago.
The problem for me now is that I could not find an original image of this type for comparing.

Since we started this discussion I have done some further digging and believe that the unmarked badge may be seen, published in S. Weber's book, the maker is still unknown. I hope this helps mate, cheers, SCheers, Steve
