    "AS" Flak Badge

Here is a picture of a badge that was sent to me by "Peter". I asked his permission to post it here but I received no reply, so I will interpret his silence as consent.

      Hi Lorenzo,

Thanks for posting this valuable information

For years we were wondering who the maker of the ball hinge Luft Flak might be. Seems these guys also did some thinking and solved the ridle for us, and at the same time improved a little on the general design. Realy funny.

Certainly a rare badge. Strange that they also changed the manufacturing process over to half hollow as I have also seen unmarked zincers that were constructed in exactly the same way as the buntmetal type.
Nice to know that AS made these, now if only I can find one somewere

          Hi Lorenzo !
Is the shown LW Flak Badge an authentic one . Do you know something about it .
If I dont remember wrong Detlev had one semi hollow LW Flak Badge maker marked "AS" in his fake gallery for some ago . With ball - hinge and semi - hollow back .

AHA ! I found the pics , hope Detlev allow that I post them here .
And here is Detlev`s comment on this LW Flak Badge :
: The above described and pictured item is from my point of view a modern reproduction, that was not made during the time of official award: Luftwaffe.Flak badge.Strane version with half hollow reverse and maker logo Adolf Scholz Width: 46,74 mm Hight: 67,80 mm Weight: 36,92 g From my point of view is this a modern copy. There is no Luftwaffe Flak badge reported which comes close to this "fantasy" version
