Eric, why do you always respond so defensively? I am asking a question. Do you believe you are above being asked questions? This is a forum. It is for an exchange of information.

When, in your opinion, did Addi receive the S&L RK and the oaks?

wow, very interesting story for me to read as a newbie. I love to hear about the veterans and how they saved their stuff.

Eric, your english use is very good as a second language, please don't excuse it.
        You do well.

there is only one person on this forum who have the most detailled and correct information on Addi Glunz and that is Eric-Jan! For example he tracked down some US pilots who were shot down by Addi.

We together wrote the Glunz OdR article only because of his input. He has a huge file on Addi, because he knew him (and Iris) so well in person, and the only one in the field who still have some personal items. The rest of Addi's items are sold by so called "collectors".

            Eric-Jan,

Many thanks for your very interesting but also "frightening" explanations. I think that even back to 1992-1993 considering the price offered Adolf Glunz has been ripped off by a real gentleman-dealer. To bad that you couldn't manage to save the original grouping.

                  Cheers Bill.

                      Hi Bill,

Addi did have a lot of his wartime material till the early 90ties, but I have never seen or heard of his Flieger Uhr.

                      yours friendly

                        Hi Eric,
Maybe it was "liberated" from him in 1945, and judging by the number of photos i've seen the Luftwaffe pilots liked to get their watch in the picture. And who could blame them, those Hanhart and Tutima chronographs are beautiful watches.
                        Cheers Bill.
