Retired Pilot - Good or Bad?

I've been sent these 2 photos of a badge I've been offered. The seller says it looks like plated zinc. I've had lots of badges over the years, but never a Retired Pilot and so would appreciate all comments from those who know about these. Did Deumer even make them?

I will pass it. I heard that only Juncker made these badges. If You want to have 100% original badge, try to find early Juncker in Bundmetal or Aluminium.

Thanks, Grzegorz. I saw the very nice one you posted earlier and agree a Juncker would be great if I could get one!

I've gone back and read all the threads on these badges on the Forum and am very confused.........are there real zinc ones? Did others than Juncker make these during the war?

Retired Pilots Badge

Very early Junckers Retired Pilots Badges had large swastikas and the eagles had flat chests as shown in Doehle's wartime book "Die Auszeichnungen des Grossdeutschen Reichs". There were therefore two different styles of original RP badges produced by Juncker but they both have the same two features which are missing on the numerous fakes which are around.

Is everyone saying, then, that ONLY Juncker made these badges?

Since this one is marked L/11, I don't think it's pretending to be a Juncker, so, again, I am confused.

Any ideas on this particular badge? Or does the "only Juncker" thought automatically condemn any others?
