ID Maker?

Gents,

So this 1957 badge may give us clues to this unknown maker. The obverse is a match for the wartime badge, with a new eagle and different hardware. Does anyone have any ideas? It is from Carsten Baldes' site, but I have put in an order for it, so hopefully I will learn more once it is in hand. It is 100% NOT S&L...as far as the wreath goes.

This is intertesting, and could hopefully develope into finding a new maker's name...and before your book comes off the press. The wreath is conclusively the same, only the eagle and hardware change. So who's connected to this hardware or '57 eagle? Perhaps the eagle die was lost after the war, and a new one made..?

This is a badge by the same maker, only with the coke-bottle pin setup, next to the '57...

All the 57 eagles were redesigned. I have an S&L (marked) and they did not just lop off the swas - no one did, not in Heer or KM. The wreath connects it to the wartime badge, but the hardware seems generic. Unless in hand I learn something. But all observations appreciated!

This eagle looks more like an eagle for a Luft GAB rather than a flak, it's wings thin and pointed. Looking through the archives trying to find some link to a '57 production firm, I found one link but it no longer was accessible. Still searching.

You may find the eagle on the flak to be similar, perhaps the same...

The 57 is on the way to me. I will compare it in hand to the S&L 57, and hopefully I will learn something from the badge.
