This looks to be a nice latewar zinc flak badge, maker unknown. Most often called the 'ball-hinge' flak, the hardware points to the maker Adolf Scholze (A.S.), but no marked badges have turned up yet proving this.

The case looks fine.

Very nice - probably a matching set as you so often find that zinc ball-hinge in that case. Maker unknown as Robert said.
