I have another post under IAB, and I have several items I am trying to verify if they are correct or something I do not know the authencity of it. I also have the PAB, and a Torpedo that was all sent to me from Germany by my Borther In-law that he bought from a dealer. Two are marked (the torpedo, and the PAB, but I have clarification of them. The torpedo had 8H or H8 on it, and the PAD has RS on it? At any rate here is the unmarked Luftwaffe badge. I have a whole lot of marked stuff I will be selling, but want clarification on these first. Has anyone any documented verification of the authencity of it? Thanks for any replies or comments. Here is the front, and backside follows.

Exactly. My first thought was why is this not oval and round? Beat the heck out of me when I saw it. My brother In-law meant good, had good intentions, and this guy has been a reputable dealer in Germany for God Knows who he bought it from. He had another odd item, and a torpedo I have never seen before? All of the rest of my items came from Springfield, MO from my doing German Script translations. I know that they are certainly good items. But on this one I certainly think something is remiss.

Feedback
Wished I had gotten a little more feedback on this one. Looks to be of old original materials, and of exact period, Although the pin and latch makes me wonder. I am just wondering if perhaps it is in somone's books, and I have something remiss on this one? Appreciate it if anyone finds it in one of their books to send me a PM. Thanks for any help, Mike

The back is horrific! The eagle looks like it has huge casting sprues or a platform for soldering the rivets on the back. If the wreath was rotated 90 degrees the wreath would probably cover the "sprues." This badge looks like it was soldered together from unfinished parts. The question is - are the parts original or not. The hinge looks like crap. Maybe this badge was intended to be a joke.Last edited by emilitaria_usmc; 01-01-2008, 02:19 AM.
