    Imme Po

    Dear All,

I know these IMME POs are rare per sé but still am wondering: Do these exist only with the "I" spelling or are there also ones around with "J" just like their PBs?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Albert

        Albert,

I have only seen a handful of IMME marked P/Os I am comfortable with. I haven't seen any JMME P/O I would be comfortable with. That is not to say that they don't exist, just that I haven't seen one that matches up to the quality and finish seen on the IMME marked ones.

        Regards,
        Mark

          Hi Albert...GREAT IMME PO Badge

If I saw a "J"MME marked PO I would expect it to have the "JMME" hinge ,rivet and catch set-up like on the PB... but I haven't seen one yet.

            Hello Mark and Lorenzo:

Thank you for your answers! So as of now only a few original "I"MME marked POBs and no original "J"MME marked POBs have been observed.

            Best regards,

            Albert

I recall seeing a JMME P/O on someones's site within the last couple of months. I was looking for something else at the time, and only took notice. I didn't do an 'A/B' comparison. I'll see if I can find it again?

                    Albert

Very nice PO by IMME indeed. With regards POs maker marked Jmme, I have not personally seen a good one yet, although as those ahead of me have already stated, that does not neccessarily mean that they were not manufactured with the later mark.

Mark mentioned seeing a badge in recent weeks and indeed a Jmme badge was discussed on the Forum a couple of weeks ago which was on a German dealer site. The consensus was however, that it was not good. There is currently another for sale on an American site but it looks dodgy too and the maker mark looks to be very questionable.

I would love to see the real deal and even better have one in my collection. The quest goes on........................

                      Albert,

Here is the badge I recalled:

                      http://www.militarycollectiblesinc.c...p?file=me00233

I contacted the vendor but the badge has (apparently) sold.

                      Regards,

Mark, thanks for following up on this riddle! Is it just me or is the wreath silver under the gold...

                        Best regards,
                        Albert

                          Albert,

Silver in some places, and grey in others??? I can't seem to find any tombak. Maybe it's just the lighting.

I agree with Tim, we've yet to find quality JMME marked P/Os.

Exactly, doesn't look like the type of wear one would expect...

Going through my files I found this "J"MME marked PO.
You've heard of "Cave Creek Specials"...this one is a "Port St. Lucie" Special:
