I have to agree with Yuri, that is a fine looking original badge - a very nice addition to anyone's collection! Congratulations!
Due to the quality of the finish, I'd day this would be finezinc - ie earlier, better quality zinc basemetal which holds finish (thinly plated in this case) much better than later war zinc alloys. Still mid-war period of course.
