Thanks everyone. I fell in love with this badge as soon as I saw it. This wasn't cheap, but I HAD to have it. What makes me smile is the complete presence of the finish on this badge. And there is also the healthy amount of patina on the finish that came from this badge being in it's case all its life.

Notice how the original finish on these badges looks "sand-blasted". It's very grainy, but on the worn examples it is rather smooth and polished looking.
