Here is a Deumer marked pilot badge. It looks nothing like most Deumers (no cut out legs etc), but appears to have been struck from Juncker dies. The badge is heavily worn, and isn't really a very good strike. Adequate, but not great. You can't tell from the pics, but it has the little faults common to die forged pieces. Again, I have had this badge for along time. I would swear, based on my experience with other textbook badges, that this one was worn on a tunic just based on the kinks and wear patterns on the reverse of the pin. Its a starnge one though

I'm with Frank.
I'd like to see a close-up of the wings though,if you can.
Let's say a good close-up of the eagle.
Bad detail don't say much to me as I've seen original bad detailed Junckerbadges, less worn but probably made it to the battlefield.
close-ups reveal a lot,also taken in a angle...
We're used to shoot the front and back but I like to see "insides" of the swas etc,etc...
Regards,
Jos.

Hi Andy,
I really believe this piece is not good. I must agree with Frank and Jos on this one - the whole badge looks cast to me also. The back of the eagle is saying this real loud to me. Also, as stated before, the maker mark is not right IMO. The name LUDENSCHEID is way too long IMO. The "R" in Deumer should be directly over the "D" in Ludenscheid on an original marking. I have not come across a Deumer marking before like that on your
badge.
