Surface fractures in pilot badge

Well,
I was surprised to find that my Juncker 3rd pattern pilot was covered with surface fractures on both the wreath and the eagle. I kept enlarging the high resolution photo until, well, take a look. Funny, these fractures are only present on the 3rd pattern Juncker and not the 2nd. In fact I see no signs of fractures on any of my other flight badges. Has anyone else discovered the same surface fractures on any of their badges?

Sorry for that over-sized photo. The eagle has the fractures also. A long vertical crack above the right talon on the tail feathers.

Hi Robert,
The fractures are a good sign,most of the Junckerbadges have these features.
Sometimes they're very small,in this case they're very pronounced.

These are one of the things a fake badge don't have for these are cast and they're still not able to make those cracks thisway.

I have seen similar fractures on a Juncker Glider that I was thinking of buying last year.

The main fractures were around the rivet area on the reverse.

It looked and felt fine to me, the only reason I didn't buy was that it was boxed and therefore quite expensive.

Heer Para Badge

Hi guys,
The Heer para badge also has fractures in many of the zinc examples. Take a look at my piece. The fractures are near the top on both sides.
