Yes, I think 500 Euro is a fair and current price for this great piece, So many maker's doing cloth. One must look at the technique of the finished piece. The bullion for officer's not Cloth for EM , They just can't fake that construction. Would love to see a close up scan!

              Chris,

A good thing to consider is gettiing a signed letter or affidavit from the family stating who these badges originally belonged to. This will preserve the history of these super pieces for future generations. Don't miss that great oportunity to do so as not all original badges will ever have that kind of solid provenance.

              You did very well.

Euro 500 for that badge is an absolute bargain Super piece and super price, you can't do better than that. If you were also lucky enough to purchase an early tombak Juncker PB for the same price can you do my lottery numbers this weekend please.

                Regards,

                        Dear Christian,

An absolutely stunning piece. Please post pictures of the tombak badge also when you get time.

As an aside, I have seen and know of some bullion qualification badges selling for as much as $1000 USD, so yes, 500 Euro was a good deal.
