I'm not sure I can get it any closer-up than those. Could this badge truly "hinge" on the beak detail ???

The beak difference is referring to the badge with the "800" stamp on it. This badge is bad and as Alan has already pointed out, it's a style of fake that appears quite often with different marks. "800" is not a good sign on Luftwaffe badges.

The other badge appears to be a unmarked Juncker, however, it's just hard to say 100% (for me anyway) with the PICS provided. I would like to see closer PICS showing those areas mentioned earlier. There are fakes out there that resemble Juncker and are close but not 100% correct.

Here something for confusion , legit late war zinc eagles! Linked to Juncker.

Very close to the fake eagle (beak style pp.), but 100% original.

Left one is out my ex-collection and had a rock solid provenance (right is out of my files...dono where is came from)

My mistake. Bottom line, we need better PICS, that's all there is to it.

Personally, the eagle's beak doesn't bother me too much, I think slightly different angles and lighting in the PICS can give slightly different appearances, but overall it looks pretty close to me. The other items are still a concern for me though.

You´re right Tim, could be the angle..........some additional beak and hook pictures would be fine.
