    PO by MO

I was asked to post these pics for a friend. No, seriously he can't post. I've never held an MO so I wouldn't know the bacon from the beans on these. Let us know what you think.

I am no expert, but usually the Eagles faces always look pi$$ed off and this one kinda seems to be happy, I think its a fake . Just my two cents, hope this helps!

        Hello Brian,

Hmmm......can't say 100% that OM did or did not make Pilot/Observer Badges. This is the first example that I have seen, and a bad one at that. The wreath is incorrect for OM it should not have that exstention at 6'o clock, wrong hinge, eagle looks cast actually the wreath does as well.

        Best Regards,
        JD

I have problems with this badge. The wreath edges are very neatly filed-down on the OM Pilot's badges, and it is not on this one. And the logo is quite different looking. The "M" in OM has serifs and the eagle has sharper details.

The gentleman who owns this is going through the catharsis(sp?) that most of us went through. He's got LOTS of great stuff but a few sick birds in the coop need to be put to sleep...

                    Hi,

in my opinion the badge looks to have flat thin wreath, signal as a very early badge. Hinge is not usual for this time and the eagle has not the details as must have a very good piece as must to be this. I must say it has a good older gilding!

I will just add (for what is is worth) that in more than 15 years of collecting, I never saw one - as you know I am a LW collector, but since 6 months, I almost saw 10 of these OM P/O - that should give you the big image
