    Para Badge - Original?

I've just come across this para badge and would like some input on its originality or lack thereof.
    Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug, maybe this thread will help you decide?

            Ade,

Thank you for the reference thread. After reading it two or three times through, I don't think I'm any more sure than I was when I started. Mine has differences to both of the buntmetal badges shown. The detail on mine looks a bit crisper, and the upper edge of the wing in front is a bit different.
Mine does have the hing with a curl underneath. Is that a bad sign?
Anyone else have one for comparison?

            Doug

This is a friendly advice. The provided photos are very dark. Try to fix this and it will be more easy for members and collectors of these fine badges to help you.

              Good luck.
              Peter

                Doug,
Do I see 3 claws on yours whereas Meybauers given a have 2 claws if memory serves me correctly.

Sorry, but this badge is a fake.

A Juncker style wannabe with wrong hing/pin set-up and odd Meybauer marking. You´ll find the very same style of repro badge with different maker marks.

                        Hi Doug,

Just reading this today. The badge you show is not an original Meybauer, and as stated earlier, shows characteristics more of a Juncker style eagle without the cutout foot than the type designed by Meybauer.

This type of para badge seems to prevail in the fakers realm often with different or no maker's markings.
