Help with two badges please!

Members more experienced than I recently advised me of a fake in my Heer badge collection, for which I am grateful as it can be returned. I have two costly Luft. badges from the same source that I have never posted for opinion. Here they are. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well, I do not like both of them ... IMO both badges are fake, sorry.

Sorry - just so many things wrong with them it is hard to know where to start. When you see such uniform softness with no details at all in any feathers or crevaces you know it is a warning sign. Who is this dealer so quick to take back the myriad fakes he has stuck you with???

Stu,
Your pilot badge looks like a poor attempt at a Juncker type 3 eagle on a type 1 wreath with a fake Deumer stamp, definetly a bad one. The Observer badge has really soft features and looks cast. Both bad fakes in my opinion. Sorry for the news, I hope you can return these!

Well, not exactly what I had hoped for, however your input is much appreciated. That's why I joined up and paid my money. Great place to learn. I had hoped the learning curve was flattening out...apparently it's still pretty much vertical. Good thing I can laugh at myself and then return these.

Yea, good thing as long as you can get your money back. Sorry Stu, I agree with the rest, both are rather poor fakes and nothing like originals from those makers.

Do searches here and there will be more than enough historical PICS to learn from. Good luck!
