Help with a nice Pilots Badge

    Hi folks,
Sorry to bombard you with pilots badges in one night, but same question. Does anyone know who made this badge? It's in an unmarked box, which is original to the badge. It's heavy, nicely formed with a nice bunt metal bird and wreath, and looks like an earlier badge. Can anyone tell from the shape and form who may have produced this badge? Thanks in advance - s/f Robert

No mm on badge or box - any good guesses?

Help with a nice Pilots Badge

              Hello Robert,

in my opinion it´s a very nice earlier badge (in Tombak) of the "Unknown Maker" (possibly FLL - just do a search for that in the forum).

The box is a nice original in very good condition, too.

              Congrats to you.

              Kind Regards

                  Robert,

Agree, a real beauty and one that I would be very happy to have in my collection!

                  Nice find!

Thanks folks! You'd think that with a higher quality badge, the manufacturer would be proud enough of their work to put their mark on it - but not in this case. Was FLL trying to avoid taxes? Didn't have a license to make this badge? I appreciate the comments! s/f Robert

                      traits

                      Hello,

                      I have some questions:

Do these unmarked pilot badges always have the trait in the beak, with the extra metal going through it?

Are there reproductions of this bird with the same trait, or is it safe to look for this in original badges?

I always look for this beak and the reverse setup on these badges and just want to know more.

Please let me know either way. Thank you.

One of the series of fakes, of this maker, does have this characteristic but the original has the "tooth" as the part of the line of the upper beak. The fakes have the "tooth" laying on top of the line of the beak. something to look out for.
In this pic (not very good Pix of the fakes, top two) you'll see what I mean.
