Is the winged arrow gilted, or is that just a 'lighting-reflection' illusion? The clasp itself looks to be good.

The arrow is silver color with some remnants of black,Mark..,we were taking some pics and he hold a strong light in the rather dark room so I hadn't use the flash of the camera, which would make it worse,so,good, but unnatural light..
Clasp also looks original to me,but I just wanted some more opinions...,he's moving some stuff and I might be interested in this one, told him these went up from 1 Euro to 5 Euro in less than 3 years,so the profit would be huge......... ...

kidding..,he knows these easily fetch 50......

Jos. - Here is my two cents worth since this thread has been quiet. The things I do not like about this one is the soft edges on the reverse, the fat bulging pin, and in the center cutout on the reverse you will see that it is indented at the 10:00 o'clock position. I have seen similar badges in quantity on web sites with this trait. I don't know these badges that well but have stayed clear of this pattern for those reasons. The badge is fairly hard to come by and seeing this pattern all over the place, sometimes in pristine condition, makes me wonder. I saw one site that had five or more of them in different grades and different conditions but it was the very same badge. Coincidence or not? I am not saying it is bad, just that I have reservations and might hold out for a better example. Perhaps it is just a more prolific maker and you have hit the mark. I would certainly wait for a more qualified opinion than mine for sure. For what it is worth - less than two cents. I do not know why the experts have not chimed in on this one.

I******180;d also be inclined to avoid it. For the reasons named above and that the hinge is really a zinc type but the badge is buntmetal. I only like clasps that hace a barrel hinge without plate on them.
The soft edges, as noted, would really bother me as well although the break at 10:00 clock you can also find on original clasps.

I have been quiet on this one until now because it is hard to give this badge justice. It might be ok, but like some others, and for the same reasons, it makes me feel uneasy.
                    Cheers, Frank
