      Hello,

Hans Nething was Bordmechaniker. I hope it helps.

It took me a good 6 months to get full details of my Ehrenpokal holder. Try and find if he was a casualty from the German War Graves site and then you need to go to WASt in Berlin (who normally take 4 months to reply)

                Honour Goblet

Hey, I need info on mine too! I bought it over 20 years ago from Adrian Forman and it is 835 silver awarded to Oberfeldwebel Lothar Tiekenhenrich.

I tried for years in vain to find out who this guy was and his fate. Any clues out there?

Unfortunatley I do not have the Ehrenliste showing Nething as there were 4 lists produced 05.10.1942 for new Ehrenpokal holders......I have two of them. However I do have the KG 2 history....he might be listed there!

Regarding Tiekenhenrich, when was it awarded as I have not record of him at all??
If it was pre 09 September 1941 then pre Ehrenliste and no record!

                  Regards,
                  Ian

Stan: No record of him as a casualty or being awarded DKiG or above and wasn't in KG 2. Your only other course of action is BA/WASt. Send me a PM if you would like to know more

Thanks for the info guys, hoping to buy this goblet shortly, thought he might be a fighter pilot, but never mind still a brave guy.
Ian any info that crops up in the KG 2 history would be grateful to know.
                        Regards

Old topic, but thenew book of Patzwall on the Ehrenpokal shows Hans Nething as listed in the Ehrenliste der Luftwaffe with the Ehrenpokal on 5th October 1942. So the awarding of the goblet itself on 2nd October 1942 as the Ehrenpokal states is very well possible.
Did you after all obtain it?
