I can´t see anything on the pics the seller sent me.
Good or bad sign?

It depends what you are comfortable with. I have seen these with a heavy plating that has bubbles all over the reverse. I am more comfortable with that particular trait. There are also examples where the zinc has just faded the finish. best wishes,
jeff
I don******180;t like this type. Never have. Even the type with bubbling are******180;nt for me. I always associate them with post war pieces. Don******180;t ask me why. Thats just me.
I know a lot of people do like them.
Sovvisor, is there no designation on the lid?
Is that the lid in your last post, or is it the base?
Also, is the inlet so loose that you can pull it up?
For the one I missed I would******180;nt have had to sell anything.
If I want to buy one from Weitze, Winkler and consorten I******180;ll probably have to take out a morgage on both "eggs" and if I want the case probably a leg as well.
have you two come to any conclusion? Is it war time or is it unsure? Are the junckers 100% wartime?Evidence?
Best
There will be no conclusion to this. Skip said it best "Either you believe in these or you don't" I believe, he doesn't. If you want 100% stick to the marked Juncker in buntmetal. But be very careful as most of the ones out there are fake.
Also, I speak of liking only the badge, I don't know anything about the case. I would not pay much extra for that case.
I suggest using the search function and looking up every post that deals with the retired pilot badge. You will then get a sense of what these badges are all about. best wishes,
jeff
The Junckers are just about 100% wartime. The whole style of production points to a Juncker (hinge, hook, hand finishing, and maker mark) wartime production.
I have previously only seen one picture of an airmann wearing one of these badges and that was here on the Forum. I believe it was Jaques who showed it but I******180;m not sure. If the badge was a Juncker or not could not be ascertained from the photo.
On the case. You will have to answer the questions I asked above before I can comment further. Looks promising though.
"Sovvisor, is there no designation on the lid?

"Also, is the inlet so loose that you can pull it up?"
A front shot of the catch would be useful as well.
