I'd like to see better close-up pictures to be sure, especially of the hinge and catch assemblies... But from what I see here it looks like a good one.

Use caution with these RK badges - there are some very good fakes out there. The details of what separates the good from the bad has been discussed before; I suggest doing a search in this forum using "RK" as the key word.

That particular badge has gone around the auction site a few times. Nobody seems to want it although the price is very good.

              I wonder why

                Hi,

People here just discussed one RK LW Ground Assault Badge and, as it was considered as a text book, I think it would be interesting to check the pictures posted in that topic: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=156537

                Good luck,

                Douglas.

As a point of reference, I consider the following examples to be authentic (opinions?):
In the next post I will show two fakes to compare.

                  AUTHENTIC:

These two I would consider to be fakes:

                      Hi,

I don't have any problems with what I can see of the first badge - wreath, eagle and rivets/hardware look genuine to me as well. The lower rivet might be missing but the top two do not look messed with, which is important to ensure a good eagle hasn't been placed on a bad badge - which we've seen here recently.

Larry, I agree with the genuine/fake items that you'se labeled as such.

                      Regards
                      Mike
                      Regards
                      Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!
