Jos, my dear Friend, let's get back to the roots here. IMO Juncker was not selling parts to JMME at all. JMME company got their own dies eaither from Juncker or from the same source as Juncker Company. IMO JMME was totally independent manufacturer. This same phenomena was very common between Heer badges manufacturers and the same thing for sure was happening in LW badges world.
One more time, posted by you badge was made by Juncker, it is featuring known from Juncker hardware setup and got Juncker logo on her reverse (if my eyes are correct). One more time, Juncker and JMME probably got their dies from the same source...

        Your thoughts,Robert..

The badge probably says Jmme&Sohn Berlin..,and it's a typical Jmme eagle you'll never find on Juncker badges IMO.
All such pattern eagles are always marked Jmme,as far as I know..
But I'm curious to see one Juncker marked ofcourse.

Plus, something completely different, the 2nd pattern wreath was obviously used by both firms coming from 1 die..,there's proof for that..,no 2 dies are exactly the same.
My Jmme pilot and my Juncker P/O have exactly the same wreath.

        Jos.

Good point (and eyes) Jos, it could be marked Jmme&Sohn Berlin.
However this still proofs nothing, because we don't know history of this badge. Was it cleaned at some point? Or was not?

And one more time, as i said before, probably both companies (Juncker and JMME) got their dies and hardware from the same source so it is hard to tell who is who and what is what without nice and clear pictures.
Also it could be interesting to know, how much impact on blackening got metal which badge was made from (BM or NS). I'm 100% positive that both alloys are reacting differently to it...

Yes they are Jos. 2 dies can absolutely be the same if made from one mother die. You will not be able to tell the difference when looking with "naked" eye only...

I saw a pilotbadge with a Juncker makermark that was stamped over right through the name with the large IMME mark..,why should they do that if both companies had their own gear ?

Unfortunately not,it's in the head, saw it 1,maybe 2 years ago..

But besides that,I think all Juncker patterns came from 1 die and Imme used that stuff...,after a while Imme came with his own design,a different eagle, only used by Imme, same with the finish..

But I'm still curious of what material and finish the blackened Jmmes are made..
Can we see a nice black one which is obviously nickle ?
I mean a black eagle on a yellowish nickle wreath..

                  Jos.

Jos I remember seeing that double marked badge on a German dealer's site a few years back. I just checked and don't have a shot of it either.

                            Typical IMME construction.

Funny how many have that bend in the pin.

                              Thanks Robert,

It looks to me that this wreath got the finish used on tombak wreaths, there's some patina, but there're parts of white silver finish visible..,no ?
Is the inside of the wreath shiny polished ?

                              Tim,
                              Looks like a factory bend..

                              Jos.

I marked the spots with original silver finish still on the wreath. And yes, the wreath inside is nice and shiny…
@bend pin - I agree with Jos here, it is probobly "factory bend".
