    BUYER BEWARE! Deumer Para Badge.

Currently offered for sale on a major dealer site is this cased Deumer Para Badge. I believe that this is the same fake badge that appears and is discussed on the Fakes Gallery starting in Post # 9: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=101962

    Other opinions?

Yep, that one is fishy (and a dangerous one)! Would love to see some close up pictures of the maker mark.

Anyway, I recognized, that the major seller corrected his offer, as the badge is no longer for sale on his side.

Some would say a variant......but what´s about the maker mark (and many more differences).....

                Hi Gerd. Scary, indeed!!!

They are definitely not variants, but fakes!! Here is your "Deumer" marked badge next to a "JMME" marked badge using the same wreath. I guess the makers of these badges liked to mix 'n' match components.

These badges had been flagged as fakes several years ago. Sorry to see them still making the rounds on dealer websites. If we are not careful, they will eventually weasel their way into collections as accepted authentic pieces.

Another stunner Frank, you certainly like the mint badges, if you ever come across any duplicates, you know where to send them

                        Hi Rob,

Partially true. As with women, I like both mint and "with character." It is always good to enjoy both sides!

Waiting until it is "Miller time," he cannot be far now.
And you can bet he has one with two scratches less (badge, that is)!
                        Cheers, Frank
