Edge-less cloth para badge, original sewing?

What do you think about this cloth para badge? The badge feels and looks good to me but what do you think about the edge being trimmed off?

Around the badge, wherever the sewing meets the trimmed edge, it has been sewn over the edge with thread that is a slightly different shade and texture. Nothing on the badge glows under blacklight.

There may be no way to tell, but do you think this was period done or not? I can't find any photos showing trimmed edges and can't find a similar badge on the forum. Does anyone have a badge like this?

The badge is doubtless original! Cut off from a tunic with restitched edges to fix some loose threads (IMHO).
It came, as far as I remember, with an additional picture of the soldier...am I right?

Gerd, I did buy this badge from from the WAF e-stand, with a picture of two soldiers. Do you know any more about the history of this badge and photo?

I never looked at the photo too closely, assuming it just came with the badge as an example of a cloth para badge. But the badge in the photo is cut out and looks to be the same badge!

Sorry, I have no more informations for you. I just had in mind, that I saw this badge with the soldiers picture before.

You're right, it could be the same badge....but that's hard to judge from the picture.
