Here is what I believe to be a fake R.K. luftwaffe ground assault badge. The eagle matches perfectly to the fake on Mike Pinkus' excellent site. Where this badge differs is in the wreath. From my study the wreath is pretty much a perfect match with an original, it is nothing like the fake wreath on the badge shown by Mike P. My pictures will show the catch has no shear marks like an original, however the pin looks pretty good. If the fakers made this badge with the right eagle(proper beak and feathers) we would be in trouble. A person might be able to justify no shear marks on the catch. What do you guys think?
