What's this?

Any ideas about this badge? It looks like a civil one but the word "Luftschutzbund" confuses me. Something about Danzig and planes, but what for?

to me its a anti aircraft badge as the center symble is the same as the luftshutz 2nd class pin. hope that helps

Hello,

That is the Luftschutz pin for the RLB.......now that I think about it, if original and Danzig related it is most likely very rare. I would imagine it was for members who participated in defending the area of Danzig.

you have to be carefull with these things,the reverse looks like a well known copy to me,im about %75 sure,
