Pilot Observer Badge currently being offered on Ebay

Ladies and Gents I bow to the greater knowledge of the members out there and would ask if anyone has any thoughts on this badge.Having been stung once many years ago on a Pilot Observer badge I am not too sure about bidding on this until I can get some help with the origianlity and the thoughts of those that have been serious collectors for sometime

Hi,

Imo it's a fair quality (basemetal, that is - almost certainly not real silver though) but poorly detailed fake. The obverse details simply look cast. Don't waste your money!

Hi and welcome to the forum!

My knowledge of these badges is not great, but the first thing I see is the poor "jelly mould" quaility of this item. The detail is terrible. Given that this is supposed to be a private purchase badge, would you have spent your hard earnt RM's on this item? Got one myself but without the number,paid £10.00 for mine as a copy and good for referance!
